My name is Eerie Elevant!

I started writing as a kid, where I wrote fanfiction and did text-style roleplay. I put more of a focus onto my professional and personal writing when I was hired by WebToon Originals to formalize my comic into one of their featured works—Console Her. I didn’t end up finishing this comic, but you can read it in its current state on their service still.

Separate to my comic work, I’ve written several books to varying levels of completion. I’d write a book, then try to edit it, then repeat the process—I never sought to publish as I perpetually felt like I had more to learn.

Then in January of 2023, I wrote my first treatment of What The Heart Reads, my debut novel! This felt like the first ‘book—book’ I ever wrote. I worked on it for some time, rewrote it in different POVs, then put it aside. I then tried to write a fantasy trilogy in 2025, which I’m still working on, but then I decided I wanted to tackle What The Heart Reads (for real this time).

I wrote (from scratch) a treatment of What The Heart Reads in November 2025, then edited it, then worked on it, then edited it, rinse, repeat. I eventually enlisted the help of Helen Hawkins, Boo The Rat and Sarah Chorn to get it to its final stage, which is what you’ll see now! With the help of Shari Coté with the cover, I’ve self-published what I hope to be the first of many novels!

I struggle to pick a favorite anything, so I’ll say this—I love reading, I love the occult, I love history, I love technology, I love stickers, I love stationery and I love you for taking the time to read all this!

While I stream under the alias of AICANDII, I wanted to have a distinct pen name separate to my online persona, in part due to the confusion over my username in the modern context. I don’t use AI in my book creation process, and I’m not an AI.
